What:  Hay!  Ready to stirrup your reading habits, pony up to your computer and zoom with MOSCDC Bookclubbers?  This is a great month to join us if you love horses, history and Marines. Or even just want to read a good story!! We are reading Sgt. Reckless – America’s War Horse, by Robin Hutton.  The historical novel is based on a warhorse with the 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, during the Korean War.  A remarkable animal, this story captures the depth to which she truly became a Marine and earned the rank of Sgt.  Robin Hutton has encased multiple comments, records, and communications regarding this Mongolian pony and combined them together to create a book to treasure.  Filled with detailed combat settings, comedic distractions, and heartwarming loyalty, to the Corps! You will want to plan a trip in the near future to the Marine Museum at Quantico to view the Sgt. Reckless displays. We are pleased to announce that Tricia Smith has made arrangements for the author to join us for a zoom discussion group on Thursday, April 22, 10:00.

Cost: There is no cost to join, but each participant is responsible for purchasing/obtaining his or her own copy of this book. It is wise to do this early enough to give yourself time to read the book before the discussion on April 22 at 10am.

R.S.V.P.: Kindly register for your spot at moscdc.org by Sunday, April 18th.

Questions: Feel free to reach out to book club host, Teresa Todd with any questions at tgtodd@hotmail.com.
